It's beginning to feel a lot like....

... winter! Yippie, we finally got a break from the blistering sun. Most would say that today is a gloomy day... not me. After too many months of scorching sun we finally got a break from the heat and sun. Lovely gray clouds, cold air freshly blown in from Canada... temps to make me want to go play. I ended up sneaking out while Kathy & Ella were out doing their thing. Got a single loop in. The temp thingie in the Audi said 36* but with the wind blowing off of the lake it felt a lot colder. If there were any moisture in the air we might even see some white stuff falling from the heavens... one can dream.

The new cell phone has a built in (crappy) digi cam so I'll be taking a lot more pix now, it can even take short video, however I have to figure out how to x-fer the video from the strange .3g2 format to a more standard .mpg or the like (anyone have any suggestions, besides google?)... research for later I suppose.

Rick.... while I wouldn't mind a touch more warmth, I'd rather have cold than hot... you sir can keep your 110* days... pure evil!

As a southerner trapped in the arctic wasteland of Chicago, I've come to realize some things: properly dressed, I'd rather ride in the cold than the extreme heat (110! I lived in Austin for a while and remember those conditions "well"), but the accompanying slick ice and filthy streets make for a treacherous ride when cold. That being said, I'm dreaming of above-freezing conditions right about now. 110 is beginning to sound a lot like Heaven... ;-)

Core,

Chi-town is a bit chilly for me. I like the mid atlantic region as you get just enough cold to make you appreciate the other seasons, but it's not as brutal as the winters in the mid west. You're the sh!t for going bike only man. I don't think I have the intestinal fortitude for that, at least not here in TX.
