We finally got some rain! I've never been so excited to see the wet stuff falling from the sky. We all went outside and did a little dance. E actually put on her fancy boots and ran around nude... yep these will be the photo's we bring out in those dark teen years to knock her down a peg or two.
The rain barrel filled up quickly and began overflowing. The temperature fell. It was a beautiful thing. We had several days of rain that followed, and I was glad for it. The little riding I get to do has been on very dry dusty trails, the rain will bed things down nicely. All of this time in the sun really has made us appreciate seasons and weather so much more. It's not that we don't appreciate nice sunny warm or hot days, just that variety is the spice of life, and it's been too long that we haven't had any variety. Thank you rain gods!

oh yes! we love the rain gods and we love a freelance nudist (i have two under my roof). do you really have a rain barrel?... i have a lot of guilt for not having one.
glad you enjoyed the rain-- i love a ride in the rain, quite a bit-- a little wet, a little mud, a lot of fun!
Erin,
Can't keep that kid from running around the yard "nekid". She actually decided that since the dogs pee outside, she'd give it a shot.... nice eh?
Rain barrel is super easy, and they sell them in stores now, can't get any easier than that. With the little rain we got, I could have easily filled up at least 200 gallons but, the wife won't let me install anymore since they're a little ugly (esp. our DIY one). When I come up to visit in the spring we can install one... super easy and great way to keep run off under control.... great way to water the plants, and I imagine Moab will like drinking out of it... Remy loves it!
Coming in a little late on this one but the first Nor'easter of the season has hit us. It's cold and wet with snow to the very near north!!!
